My Fat Equals Lame – Day ???

February 2, 2010

Well, it’s official – I’ve completely fallen off the wagon.  I’ve gained my way back up to 299 pounds.  I’ve fallen into old patterns, eating fast food every day, drinking regular soda and not going to the gym.

I need to confess to everyone out there.  I know there are a few folks that follow this thing, and I hear from you guys often.  I want to thank you for your incredible support and encouragement.  You may not realize it, but there is quite a bit of accountability in the fact that you read this, and I greatly appreciate that.

So, where do I go from here?  I’ve come clean – now what?  Well,  I’m going to look into some serious health and diet options, providing extremely structured food lists and plans, as well as a plan to seek God and ask His help to break the habits and addictions I have to food and drink.  Clear now is the fact that this is a spiritual matter, and I am in complete bondage.

More to come on the food plan later this week.  I’ll be doing some research and reading on the topic and see where I end up.

Keep strong. Don’t let Satan get you down. Realizing that you are struggling is a good thing. It means that you are growing (in a good way; Clayton, you know I love your growth) and learning to distinguish between Satan’s lies and temptation, and the truth. You are God’s boy, and he loves you very much.

If you ever need accountability outside of just writing things down here, let me know. I would love to be able to help you out in a tangible way.

Glad to have you back on the blog and on the journey. I’m confident God will break the bondage and I’m proud of you for your honesty. His mercies are new every morning!

I agree! I was glad to see an entry today from you and appreciate the honesty. I know that’s not easy at all. My advice is to aim for structure that isn’t too enclosed or it will be unachievable and leave you frustrated at little “mess ups” along the way. Structure is important, but freedom within it will allow you to truly excel .I know that you can do this and that God will honor your heart as you seek out how to.

Hey man, keep it up. The first time doing the whole weight loss/dieting thing is the most difficult since we don’t realize how much of a hold food can have on us.
